Yep you heard me, us congress passed a new law, that brings them to the dark age, surprising? not at all, usa has reach a new level of cowardice, that is what i really think.

WASHINGTON — Congress approved Thursday night landmark changes to the nation's system of interrogating and prosecuting terrorism suspects, preparing the ground for possible military trials for key al-Qaida members under rules that critics say will draw stiff constitutional challenges.
The Senate joined the House in embracing President Bush's view that the battle against terrorism justifies the imposition of extraordinary limits on defendants' traditional rights in the courtroom. They include restrictions on a suspect's ability to challenge his detention, examine all evidence against him, and bar testimony allegedly acquired through coercion of witnesses.

Oh no..now all your wanna-be Saladin friends will rot in a prison somewhere. Does this upset you?

Luckily, what you really think has no bearing on how the rest of us do business here in the real world.

In this case, Thomaska, I'm with the guy that can't spell. ("Tyrannie"?.......it is to laugh!)

Read the Fifth Amendment......it specifically bans military trials for ANYONE not enlisted in the United States military at the time of the offense.

It is time your legislators started reading the Constitution.

Well, he was right. This legislation led to countless problems and was the root cause of why Git Bay detainees could not be repatriated.

A typically myopic Republican reaction to Abu Ghraib

In a similar vein what did trillions of dollars in air defense do on 911?

Useless even in the face of an actual attack.
