A very compelling argument to counter charges that the US does not negotiate. It also points out that war on terrorism is multifaceted and besides this pact involves significant aid to countries in Africa.

Oh please, Mr. Gaddhafi,
Oh can I buy some oil from you
If youll be my friend once again,
I'll send fighter jets and tanks too...

Oh please dear Muammar
Chavez is being mean to me
Its not the same as when YOU nationalized
He's not a dictator, he's commie....

Oh please dear leader
In your glowing Arab tent
Iraq and Iran are dangerous now
YOUR oil to US should be sent

Dont favour France or Italy,
Germany or Spain
Ive asked you nicely now, you know
I wont ASK again

Lets just do this nicely
And you wont be in a jam
Think carefully before you
End up like your friend Saddam

signed, GWB

David Mack, a U.S. political officer in Libya during and after its 1969 revolution, said the amount of oil Libya is going to provide for America was not going to make a big difference. "But it will be important for a few companies that do business there."
