US president has said he could knock out Iran’s military. We welcome no war, nor do we initiate any war, but..

May not be a great deal but what is the alternative? War and the status-quo aren't particularly appealing options for anyone.

The sanctions were hurting Iran and had BHO believed in the US he would have kept them going to Iran caved to the US demands.

They did that for 50 years with Cuba with no change. They did it to Iraq for over a decade without results. North Korea has been virtually cut off from the rest of the world for decades because of sanctions and their government seems to be just as strong and intransigent as it ever was. Sanctions do nothing except hurt the common man at the bottom. It does nothing to the leadership/governments.

18-day negotiation yields landmark Iran nuclear accord

I think it is only a trick by Tel Aviv and USA; Tel Aviv pretends they don't agree.
Because it is their strategy to demolish every powerful Arab and Muslim state; therefore, this is only tactical; or only the first step. When they finish this, they will find other alleged points: like human rights, fundamentalism, woman rights, etc.

History is an ever changing and living thing. At one point America was the great Satan
Revolution produces strange relations at best. There was some reason for tension
between the two after all America supported Iraq in the many years of war with Iran and
also interfered in Iran's affairs keeping the former leadership in power for decades.
Now the new Satan is on the horizon it is called ISIS and it is a threat.
American and Iran share a barracks in Baghdad both armies working together against a
common threat. How could there be a blockade or restraints against an ally in battle.
This was wallpapering a nagging ideological dispute with a new era of cooperation without
apologies
