Any fool can grow the economy through debt financing. Just look at Canada. Trump and Trudeau are doing the same thing. Question is, his sustainable is it? Even, before WWII, many Europeans admired Germany's economic miracle while ignoring how it was all debt financed.
The US industrial base will be in real trouble if peace ever breaks out in the world.
It will but the countries that will be building things will not be countries that belong to NATO. Nobody would really give a flying fuk if war breaks out between a few of them or all of them.
All the posturing the EU is doing to get around US sanctions against Iran will end up being useless as none of those countries will be winning any contracts. The West has a bad habit of breaking them as soon as the ink is dry. Without the war machine keeping people working the economy will tank worse that Venezuela did once the IMF put the screws to them..
