I think the American people loved the idea of having Mexico pay for the wall, but logically they probably knew it wasn't going to happen. They have (if true) 11 million illegal in the country, so whether Mexico or Americans' pay, they just want the wall. Trump should just come out and say the wall is going up and who gives a d$#m who pays.

If I was a taxpayer, I'd care. I'd also be concerned about the price of food when the illegals that work on farms go home
