An advisor to the US President-elect Donald Trump has called the new British ambassador to the US "a moron."
Peter Mandelson is a former Cabinet member of the Labour Blair Administration and is nicknamed "the Prince of Darkness" for his political strategies.
A few years ago Mandelson - who also opposes Brexit and supports closer British ties with China - called Trump "a white nationalist."
In response, a key figure in the Trump Administration has called the British leftie a "moron."
Mandelson's appointment to the post was announced by Labour Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
