This is what the Carbon tax is earmarked for, buying Carbon credits from underdeveloped countries to off set our Carbon footprint. Wealth transfer from developed to undeveloped countries it's a fricken farce

That's what it is for! It does not even have to exchange hands to hide the money trail any longer. Wherever it goes, that is where it goes and that country can do whatever it wants with it to fight climate change. That includes buying weapons and building mansions.

Yup, the carbon tax is nonsense. Taxation isn't needed to bring about change. That's what laws are for.

What change are you looking for. Try an exit from NATO to see just how that would go. Any other topics would go the same way. How much longer until out oil reserves are classified as US reserves??

Dozens of countries and provinces and states have carbon taxes.

Time to throw them all out of office?

At this time however, it is still just a pledge. I doubt Canada will honor it.

They did not meet their targets during Kyoto. When it came time to pay up, Canada pulled out just before the deadline. They would have been on the hook for $14 BILLION! LMAO

They are not in line to meet their targets under the Paris Agreement. As a matter of fact they have earned the scorn of the UN being one of the worst emitters alongside Russia, China, Brazil, and India.

The Liberal Govt. also tried to cook the books on their emissions. Trudeau already counted into Canada's targets by assigning emissions to the U.S.

So when it comes to Climate Change, the Trudeau Govt. has no honor and has zero credibility.

Don’t forget they want to increase our population to 100,000,000 by 2030 . That should help reduce our carbon footprint .

Not to mention the trees which they recently discovered are releasing more carbon than they trap.

This winter cars idle a million more hours than in Alberta when they, sorry, 'we', were under (damn) Chinook-like conditions. We are a small people, we can only do so much.

It took 15 minutes to warm up the car enough to drive yesterday morning in Calgary . Minus thirty yikes how do people live in such places ?
