You and flossy. That is the only explanation for both of you being so wrong so often. Unless you admit to just being a garden variety troll.
Me? Har Har Har.... I give explanations as I see them from many sources. ... not as you imagining them in your small world LOL

So... the True North... is this what they mean?

Cause right in their "About" at the bottom, they state it's a Conservative editorial position.

Which means a Conservative bias.

I mean, if you're going to go off on the CBC for being Liberal and thus bias, you can't claim that True North is unbiased when it says it's Conservative...
Gotta have at least 1 or 2 contrary to the Liberal leaning news services, then you can find the middle after reading both

I wonder how much of the $600 million media bribe True North got. I bet $0. Seriously, if you think you can trust a bought and paid for media, you should live in North Korea, or China.
Funny how blocking major transportation corridors and city streets, defacing and toppling statues and burning down religious buildings is acceptable/"understandable" when left-wing extremist shit bags are involved.
Hell, our new Minister of the Environment and "Climate Change is a left-wing extremist AND an ex-con.

I think it was only print media that got the bail out.
Of course, all companies could request wage support/\.

In theory the money was for a transition away from print media to electronic, but I recall reading at the time that many media outlets that never had any print media whatsoever got in on this dole.

The reward was for the ‘right’ news in this transition payment to select media outlets.

Print media....
Yes, that is what they said but not what they did.
The news release put out Wednesday by Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez begins well: "The Government of Canada understands that for a democracy to function properly, it needs to have solid, independent news media."

If only he had stopped there. But instead, the release goes on for another 700 words to outline a plan whose principal effect will be to undermine the independence of the news media.

The purpose of the release was to announce the plan for the "independent panel of experts" who will be tasked with helping figure out the toughest part of the government's $600 million bailout of the print news business: namely, who should be eligible for the money?

Making a list of State Approved Media Outlets For Purposes of Getting Public Money was always going to be a Pravda-y sort of business.

Instead, Rodriguez has handed deciding the membership of the panel over to eight associations, a group that includes News Media Canada (a newspaper industry lobby group), a handful of press councils and professional organizations, and two media unions including Unifor, an organisation whose leadership has actively campaignedessentially on behalf of the Liberals.
