To me - and I haven't listened to her version or seen actual video, it looks like this woman, with a walker, was likely pushed over when a horse shoved into her.
So I've questions:
1. Horses are big and hard NOT to see coming; was the horse coming too fast for her to move out of the way? (walkers mean a person is usually mobility compromised somehow)
2. Was the horse shying away from someone else and hit the woman accidentally?
3. Was the rider unaware of the woman (behind the rider and horse's view maybe? Sort of similar to question 2; did the horse shy its butt into her by accident?)
4. Did the rider do this on purpose? Usually mounted policemen are "mobile walls, body blocks" to push people along/herd them in a way the cops want. People aren't going to stand up to a 1000lb animal unless they're stupid/looking to cause an issue.
5. Was there so much going on the rider didn't realize the woman WAS mobility compromised/had a walker?
6. WHY was a woman, with a walker, in the middle of a crowd of protesters? Was she there by accident? On purpose? Get lost in the crowd? Again, horses are big animals; when they start getting involved people need to realize that shit could happen to them - get stomped on, shoved (rarely kicked or bit) - and it may or may not be intentional.
I'm not judging the woman via just these images, just saying I have questions for context at this time.
I wasn’t there either and I only know what I’ve seen in the short video, and was only pointing out the misconception or outright lies when I posted:
1) this woman was not the Fox News reporter Sara Carter (whom I’ve never heard of before this morning).
2) it does not appear that she (the woman in the red and black jacket) threw a bicycle under the horse, as I’ve read that the police are claiming, in order to injure the horse.
3) when I watched the video of this happened, I did the “ One 1000 two 1000“ thing between the first person saying here come the horses, and the people ending up under the horses. I got to 8. I’m not sure how fast somebody with a mobility walker is supposed to move.
4) before the horse thing happened this woman was being recorded and said that she was doing this for her children and grandchildren? Beyond that I have no idea of her motivation.
5) I have no idea of the motivation of the officer on the horse. I am assuming that he would’ve been aware of the crowd he was riding into though. His view of what’s directly in front of or underneath him obstructed by the head and neck of the horse itself.
I was responding to the “LOL” comment to someone ending up knocked over by a horse in a crowd thing, and the claim that she was a Fox News Reporter. I thought that was odd justification for someone being gleeful about a trampling? That was enough cause for a quick Google search to confirm or deny the “facts” as they where presented
Horses are big animals. they could be 7+ feet tall. I’m 6+ feet tall and I would see horses coming if I was in a crowd most likely, but I might not if I was 5 1/2 feet tall. I can see over the heads of most people. I have nothing but respect for the size & weight & power of a horse.
