Jamaican or Somalian? Other African or Caribbean? Dollars to donuts it's not some black immigrants or their children from Europe, Australia or the USA.

Given the recently published arrest statistics of black youths a Torontonian really has to wonder if it was really worth it to import their own US style black ghetto from the world's slums over the past 30 years?

“There was an altercation with two or three suspects and two black males produced firearms,” Giroux said.

“We have three male, black suspects and we don’t know if they were patrons of the restaurant. They fled the scene and officers are collecting video evidence and we have the (police) dogs here,” Giroux said.

Tariq Mohammed, 31, seen above in this photo released by the Toronto Police Service, has been identified as the victim of a homicide at Dundas and Chestnut streets.


In a news release, police said the suspected shooter is described as a black male of approximately 20 to 30 years of age. He has a lanky build and a dark complexion, standing around five-foot-ten to five-foot-eleven. He was wearing a black hoodie and a black toque. Another suspect is described as a black male between 20 and 30 years of age. He has a stocky build and is shorter than the first suspect. He has bulging eyes and hair in cornrows to the back of his neck. He was wearing a dark hoodie with writing or a logo on the front.

since the article described the suspects, sarcastic implied (black) terrorist is implied...less of course you're just simply equating an after-hours 4am dust-up at a greasy chinese dive that ended up with Mohammed dead and two women wounded with the execution of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo at the base of the National War Memorial, just for effect.

then again, maybe you are. ;-)

The point of my posts is that typically when there is an incident like this reported in the forums or elsewhere on the net, the first reaction some people have is to automatically assume it's terrorists pulling off some random attack.

"He says they’re looking for two to three black male suspects, but couldn’t offer a more detailed description as interviews were still being conducted and security footage reviewed."

That's the only reference towards race in the OP's link.

As for your follow up links, his name "Mohammed" would have also probably riled up some people into making some Terrorism or Muslim remark.

At this stage, regarding the OP link and your link, motive is still up in the air with the exception that there was an argument.

Now me being sarcastic and claiming it was (might have been) terrorism is just about as accurate as you claiming "after-hours 4am dust-up at a greasy chinese dive".... which now seems to have you targeting Chinese people with the claim that the restaurant was a "Dive". Seemed quite a popular place as it was packed and a lot of people seem to enjoy their food and service, especially since it was so late in the night. But I suppose since it was a Chinese Restaurant, it has to be a "Dive."

Dive - "Considered to be disreputable, sinister, or even a detriment to the community"

My references were meant as sarcasm, however you seem to believe your assumption of the locale being the type of place you think it is, which would reference that the restaurant is prone to having this sort of thing happening all the time and the people who frequent the locale are lower in the society food chain that you can't expect much better from them and perhaps even deserve it.

ok gordon ramsay, let's call this michelin-star rated place a joint instead of a dive m'kay? sheesh, food critics can be so touchy. :lol:

why would a dead man named Mohammed rile up anyone to think about terrorism? he's dead and his friends are shot up in hospital.


anyway, after all the stretching and straining it sounds like you need a soothing cup of camomile.
