If my family came to me and said "hey, you're being a goof", I'd drop everything and take care of myself and their wishes.

A family man gets far more respect than a drunken fool.

Yeah and if you were an addict you'd convince yourself that nothing was wrong and carry on. Addicts don't think like non addicts.

Really guys? This is how low we're going to sink? I really expected better from some of you. I'm rather surprised to see you behave like the Usual Suspect.

Not to be a ****, but if I'm not mistaken the LRT would have followed the existing grade of the existing people mover.
Not entirely.

And the package being sold, like buses being removed and ROW on roads where it can't be attained off city streets or under them, will be the center of the road. Unless the TTC is installing transporters (Because underground walkways are not always going to be possible), like streetcars, there will be stop signs on doors or over head to allow people to cross from the center to the sidewalks. And of course you'd have to ignore the fact that not all streets can be widened to allow for a center street ROW.

LRTs are a sweet dreamy stop gap bandaid, with urban sprawl in Scarborough, a subway will meet present and future needs.

I'm surprised to see you admit you're a nation of weak kneed quitters.

No. It means that, unlike Canada, our public officials tend to resign straight away when they have done something wrong rather than desperately clinging onto office.

It's not being a "weak kneed quitter". It's about being a person who does the honourable thing, and Mr Ford isn't doing the honourable thing. He has disgraced his office and should resign, yet he stubbornly refuses to do so.

It looks like Canadian public officials can learn a lot from British public officials.

This all reminds me of a thread on an Irish discussion forum in which the posters are comparing British officials, who resign when they are disgraced, and Irish officials, who desperately try to cling onto office despite being disgraced. Most of them were of the opinion that their Irish officials should be more like the British ones.

No wonder the Empire fell, with the attitude that being a weak kneed quitter is honorable.

If I were you, I wouldn't broadcast such disparaging failings about my fellow countrymen.

No. The Empire would have fallen quicker had people who had disgraced their great office stubbornly remained in that office (as they do in Canada) rather than doing the honourable thing and quit (as they do in Britain).

Look, I get it, you think being a weak kneed quitter is honourable.

No wonder we had to save your asses in WWII.

You're welcome btw.

The difference between Britain and Canada is that in Britain someone who disgraces their office and confesses to all manner of vices does the honourable thing and quits.

In Canada, they don't.

And the amazing thng is is that you are BRAGGING about it.

I expect, though, it won't be look until I'm red-arrowed despite the fact that, yet again, I'm the only one round here talking any sense.

That's right, we don't like weak kneed quitters like you do.

I feel bad for you, it's ruining your country.

And the amazing thng is is that you are BRAGGING about it.
Of course, strength and conviction trumps cowardly, weak kneed quitters any time.

Yeah. That's very true. You'd prefer to have your great offices of state filled by people who disgraced those great offices of state. You'd rather that than having "weak kneed quitters", eh?

Cowardly is refusing to quit your office when you have actually confessed to disgracing that same office.
