If, and you are right about the Jay's with their backs against the wall, but if this is as far as they go, they have still accomplished much this season and for me, it has been a wonderful re-introduction to baseball - they've got me hooked now and I will be watching them for years to come as I am quite sure will many other band-wagon jumpers. That said.
LET'S GO BLUE JAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am thinking about what is needed to go farther next year. Looking at what is lacking and this is pitching. We need to have more solid pitching day in and day out. We should be able to win the 3-2 games because in the playoffs, you meet pitchers that will only give up 3 runs even to a lineup like the Jays.
Sp next year, they need an ace type pitcher to replace Price. I am ok with them signing Price again but I would prefer one with some post-season gumption. They also need a good #3 type starter. Another arm or 2 in the bullpen wouldn't hurt as well. Not really much to change in the position players.
I do think they need to work on hitting and winning with dome closed. MLB seems fixated on closing the dome and this works against us. They Jays should be tuned to win with dome closed. And make it a goal to win the World Series and taper the celebrations before then.
