Jays are now 2-0. Magic number to clinch the AL East is now down to 161.
yup, its in the bag. !!!!
glad to see sanchez is a starter this year.
Wondering what Jay's fans think about the loss to the Rays last night and the controversy surrounding it.
Welcome to powder puff baseball.
Also hope you enjoy the excitement of the double play. I expect that there will be a record number this year.

compared to many 'take outs' at second base when a runner is approaching, this play last night, was
nothing, but I do feel a bit pizzed at bautista for sticking his hand out, as it was obvious he was
trying to grab his foot, although he only grazed it, if he had done nothing at all, jays would have
continued on, and not only that, he could have had his hand seriously injured in the process, but
I'm often pizzed at him, he is arrogant and sometimes I would like to cuff him 'side of the head'. lol
but I want him on the team, 'he can hit', no kidding.
Bottom of the 4th, bases loaded, nobody out and the Bringer of Rain gets a grand slam homer for the fans in TO. Jays go ahead 7 to 2 against the Boston Red Sox. GO JAYS, GO!
that was nice, now, not so nice, game tied
I have to conclude that the Jays have not fixed their bullpen issues from last year. I think it is worse. As a matter of fact I will go on to say that the Jays bullpen plain outright sucks.
8-7 Boston now.
Now final. Jays are under .500.
I'm going to wait a bit for the season to actually pick up some time under their belt.
yes, it didn't look good tonight, but neither did stroman, so this night was a bit of
a write-off, should just be put behind them and move on.
the announcers are also way over the top with their constant bragging about how wonderful
this team is, and they also should work their way into the season a bit more conservately,
without assuming they have already won everything.
some of these pitchers need a bit of time I would think to get established on this team,
and get comfortable.
there is another team playing on the other side whom also want to win, and tonight they showed
that the game isn't over till its over.
you know, its just baseball, and stuff happens, and it did tonight, probably a real good lesson
to everyone associated with the jays to have a bit more respect for 'their opposition', and get
down off of their high horse, and be a bit more humble, and just play ball.
there are a few games left in the season, they will be fine.

I am looking at the offseason moves this team did not make, the pitchers they did not even try to resign, the star players they are going to let walk at the end of this season, and the pathetic people they added. On top of that they took one of their best bullpen pitchers and made him a starter. It does shore up a weak rotation somewhat but makes the bullpen holes even more pronounced. Everything this team has shown on the field to date can be predicted from these non-moves and moves. I hope it is a warm October so the Jays can get some golf in before the winter sets in.
If they do improve, I will be pleasantly surprised but I don't see this team winning the ALCS or the World Series as they are considerably weaker than they were last year (even if they manage to make the playoffs). I also don't see the current Cleveland modeled front office doing what last years GM did to save last season.
well, you aren't having a happy beginning to the baseball season, so much negativity without giving anyone
much of a chance, nope i'll go along with mowich, glad baseball is back, love the game, and i'll watch
just as I did last year, as that season didn't pick up steam right away either, I don't really care, I
love 'the game' and even with losses, the game gives everyone lots to see, all the plays from both
teams, the strategies, the highs and the lows, i'll enjoy all of it.
and as with all teams, there will be adjustments along the way, as players either
rise to the occasion or stumble around, and can't get it done, but even 'they', have to give people a chance to 'get' into the season, get comfortable and show their stuff, or not, some start well and continue, others take time to 'get into it'.
