WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who was sheltered for seven years in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London after being accused of obtaining and disclosing US national defence secrets on his whistleblowing platform, is currently being held in a British prison following his arrest in April 2019.

Julian Assange’s biological father John Shipton said that the treatment of the WikiLeaks founder in London's Belmarsh Prison could be described as “sordid and hysterical”, as he is being kept in solitary confinement for up to 23 hours a day, according to Shipton's interview with the Press Association, as cited by INews.
Shipton insisted that it was “extraordinary” to see his son being held under such inhumane prison conditions, with his health rapidly deteriorating.
“I last visited Julian in August - he was a bit shaky, and is suffering from anxiety. He has lost a lot of weight. It is very distressing, and the intensity of his treatment has increased over the past year”, Shipton told the press.
"He is being subjected to every sort of torment", he added.

Many British prisoners spend 22 or 23 hours in solitary confinement. It's normal. The hero EDL founder Tommy Robinson has just been spending his prison time in solitary, but I didn't see the mainstream media complaining about that. Mr Assange is only being treated the same as other prisoners. He's in Belmarsh, not Butlin's.

Um, A) Her son isn't an American citizen so sorry, no treason there. B) I find it funny that when Assange leaked dirt on Dubya's dealings, the Democrats praised him and Wikileaks for being stalwart defenders/protectors of democracy. But when he leaked dirt on the DNC, suddenly the same people who praised him now insist he's some Russian dupe and even accused him of being a rapist. And the chattering masses happily lapped it up like the mindless, unthinking sheep they are.


Just another example of how the ALT-left are perfectly happy to throw their principles under the bus the moment they become inconvenient.
