Not sure why the video isn't appearing. This was Tom Brokaw's announcement.

I've watched Tim Russert on 'Meet the Press' for years. What a great guy. I was shocked
the other day when they announced his death. He was working in his office preparing
'stuff' for one of his shows, and he collapsed and died of a heart attack.

He will be missed by all in the journalism people and news people and even some
politicians, as he was such a fair guy, but very tough.
Wasn't a very happy fathers day for his family today. Very sad.

He talked about his dad a lot, his dad was a regular guy who worked hard, and Tim
had great respect for him and loved him, and even wrote a book about him.

Of all the Sunday news broadcasts I found him to be the most forthright with his guests. He did his homework and asked tough questions. One hell of a guy who never failed to mention his Dad.
I will miss him. In the Cronkite hall of fame.
