I read the book a couple of summers ago and lately I can't get it out of my head. I can easily say it was the best comedy I've ever read, and it was the easiest thicky I/ve ever read, I could not put it down and it had me in stiches from cover to cover. I will read it again this summer. What I found most strange was that four hundred year old comedy was fresh and topical. Cervantes was a pretty good writer.

Ive been told many times over I have a Don Quixote mentallity, That I see good where there is none and that Im in a fantacy land chasing windmills. (recent run in comes to mind) But Id rather be a protector of the oppressed than stand by and watch the rightous slaughter them.

I liked the book for that reason Self, it made me laugh at and with myself all the way through, it's powerful.

It's actually the next book I am planning to read - haven't read it yet, shame on me. I was a little doubtful about reading it, as I thought that four hundred years' ago humor wouldn't humor me  But now I guess I'll start reading it this week.
