As a tad, at tractor pulls, I'd buy "beaver tails" (You know the waffles with ice cream and strawberries and maple syrup, and... )
How come when there is a social change, the popular reaction is to view it as a decline? I think internet media has brought an explosion of interaction that did not previously exist. Those who participate are evolving in some respects and declining in others. This does not require judgement by those who long for familiarity, they should realize the past fades.
or you can go live like the mennonites.![]()
I don't go to church because I really don't like the social network that I have to tolerate.
I used to like going out on a hot summer night for drinks. It was something I did with my friends and it was special. However, getting tanked with my friends is hardly something that i would promote as traditional or wholesome.
Yes, I do get annoyed with the way some idiots will tune out right in front of you because there's a text that needs reponding to.
Well Scooby- 1 question- Do you think kids/teens should have time to ponder?
Hmmm....
All ours (plural ours) do. Adolescence is a time of introspection.
Time to ponder? I think they/we have the freedom to do nearly whatever we are compelled to do.Well Scooby- 1 question- Do you think kids/teens should have time to ponder?
You have a time machine. It's called "old movies." Particularly the "domestic" ones (think Spencer Tracy/Katharine Hepburn). You see scenes in New York apartments, and suddenly it hits you. . . there's no TV in the room.
yes I do andAs a tad, at tractor pulls, I'd buy "beaver tails" (You know the waffles with ice cream and strawberries and maple syrup, and... )
Funny that you should say that cause I LOVE old movies. I love the sound, the looks, the backgrounds of old movies. Some of my first crushes were Jimmy Stewart and Carey Grant. There are several I watch over and over again. Jack Lemmon in The Apartment. Jimmy Stewart in Harvey. Carey Grant in Arsenic and Old Lace. Jean Harlow in China Seas (LOVE this movie)
I still want a time machine. I want to BE there. I want to talk to these people. I want to feel the air move and smell the food cooking. I want to feel the cement beneath my feet and see the people looking back at me.
