Things to look for/beware when buying a house?

This property transfer tax seems unconstitutional. I.e. freedom of movement in Canada guaranteed by the Charter of Rights. While my employer will pay this tax for me it does not seem fair for people who are not so lucky. And in turn my inhibit people from moving there. How can they get away with this???

I'd go one step further than that........it's a f*****g rip off.
