PAMPERED Paris Hilton was allowed to have her best face on for her prison mugshot this week.

The 26-year-old heiress looked a million dollars as she began her 23-day sentence for driving offences in LA.

Yet it’s a very different story for the other 13.8 MILLION Americans arrested annually who don’t have access to a personal make-up artist.

Maybe that’s why these mugshots — released by US sheriffs’ offices and jails — show a criminal lack of style.

The hilarious pictures — showing both celebs and ordinary folk after they were nicked — come from a new book, The Dog Dialled 911, which is out tomorrow.

Paris served only 3 days of her sentence and is now free. The usual sentence for her "crime" is 2 and a half days in the slammer. Nick Nolte's mug shot was the ugliest ever taken of a movie or TV personality..guess his makeup people weren't available at the time of his arrest:smile:

It's been no secret that there are three classes in North American society.
The ruling class, the middle class and the poor. The ruling class doesn't really get punished like the poor. Hilton is a good example of this.

But should they transgress on the ruling class, they can be made a scapegoat.
Like flaunting the whole class system in front of the middle class. Who though they most often like to suffer through damn near anything, will at odd times wake from their apathetic slumber and kill off a good portion of the ruling class and some of the poor just to let off some steam.

Since the ruling class has begun to rub our noses in it, I guess we the middle class are about due.
