Theresa May sets out Brexit options including 'no deal' - BBC News

Brexit looks like trying to pull teeth out.

If no deal is reached, then the UK may have no choice but to go the way of Singapore to survive. Unilaterally drop all tariffs, maybe promote some kind of open CANZUK, and that would just be the first step before promoting more comprehensive trade deals worldwide. The UK has really painted itself into a corner.

I think she is going to slowly collapse and kill brexit cause she was told to
or else...
Somewhat like Catalon trying to escape Spain...look at how that is going...no soros helping there, but then there are no pipelines or opium growing there either.

Yeah it is possible... I am not sure, it just looks like separations that are not approved by the central planning authority don't seem to succeed very often.

The brits have another secret weapon and that is there are lots of brits world wide in fairly high places, they may get some surprise support from them...business wise anyhow.

If little Singapore can do it, then so certainly can the UK with a much larger population. Then again, Singapore succeeds through open trade.

Singapore succeeds because it has a centrally planned economy and has had one for decades. And before you jump on me by telling me that Singapore has a capitalist economy you should know that central planning and private ownership are not mutually exclusive. Japan has similar planning as does South Korea.

One should also point out that Singapore has a diligent, hard working population.

As an ex-pat Brit sailing buddy of mine said: "After the war, the British stopped to smell the flowers".

Canada, South Africa, Mongolia and Indonesia haven't gone the way of Singapore to survive the horrors outside the EU. So why would Britain have to go such a way?

Catalonia will be the next country to leave the EU. It declared its independence from Spain last night. When it breaks away it will find itself outside the EU, like Scotland would have done had it voted for independence.

Britain and Catalonia are nightmares for the EU. It cannot survive.

Brexit has been a real winner, hasn't it?

I love Brexit. It's the best thing to have happened to Britain since 1945.

WALK AWAY Three quarters of Brits would prefer a ‘no deal’ Brexit to a bad deal

A snap poll has revealed almost three-quarters think Theresa May should simply walk away from EU's attempts to inflict pain on the UK

NEARLY THREE-QUARTERS of Brits believe Theresa May should walk away from Brexit talks if presented with a ‘bad deal’.

A snap poll yesterday revealed 74 per cent think No Deal is better than accepting punishment from EU chiefs.

Majority of Brits think Theresa May should walk away from Brexit talks if presented with a ‘bad deal’

And the Sky News survey showed support for playing hardball is almost as high among 18 to 34 year-olds as over 55 years.

Former UKIP MP and staunch Brexiteer Douglas Carswell said: “Seems No Deal would be preferred by a big majority.

“Go ahead, Eurocrats, play hardball and make our day.”

The survey came as Dutch bank Rabobank warned that any form of Brexit – either so-called Soft or Hard – would hammer the UK.

It claimed a No Deal scenario - where we crash out of the EU in March 2019 without trading arrangements in place – would cost the UK economy £400 billion by 2030, leaving Brits £11,500 poorer.
