So many choices to be had :) But,I have to go with "Queen"..although they did do one good song "Fat Bottomed Girls". Now,I admit to liking a number of groups who are gay[Tom Robinson Band, Soft Cell, Morrissey],it's just that Freddie Mercury was just too much

Erasure are two gay men - Andy Bell and Vince Clark. Vince Clark used to be in Depeche Mode before he left and formed Erasure.

The TOUGHEST British band would have to be Cradle of Filth -

Maybe.

But in a Cradle of Filth VS Queen fight to the death, Cradle of Filth will win.

For sure :) Just a word of thanx to the British for all the great music they've given us over the years. Most of my collection is British and Canadian..and a few American thrown in for good measure. The early Brit bands got me interested in the authentic blues..another reason to give some praise to British groups.

RE: The Wimpiest British

Not gonna touch QUEEN, if you actually listened to a lot of their early stuff (and kinda turn down the vocals on a few of the more "shrill" tunes) they kinda kicked some serious ass (and this is from a guy who like MANOWAR and has seen the above mentioned MOTORHEAD live more times than I recall)

Wimpiest Brit band EVER??

was Bronski Beat british, cos they would take THE cake (not "the CAKE", but THE cake)
