Miami ice cream shop creates flavour called 'burn in hell Fidel'

For one Miami-based ice cream shop, revenge is literally sweet.
Like many other Cuban Americans, owners of the Azucar Ice Cream Company celebrated Cuban dictator Fidel Castro’s death over the weekend in their own way.
But instead of taking to the streets, the shop decided to get into the kitchen and make-up a new flavour: Burn in Hell, Fidel!
According to Breitbart, Azucar Ice Cream Company has been serving up sweet treats reminiscent of their homeland including one flavour, Abuela María, named for owner Suzy Battle's grandmother, who was born and raised in Cuba.
Battle told the Miami New Times, "this ice cream is specifically for Fidel’s death. May he burn in Hell is the inspiration."
Burn in Hell, Fidel! is a chocolate ice cream with a kick of cayenne pepper, which Battle says "is for the Hell that Castro should be in now."
The new flavour costs $4 per scoop.

Considering Castro never attacked the US the sanctions were nothing but a form of collective punishment. Many would seem to think Cuba should be made to look like Gaza because they didn't defend US interests above their own citizens. Bogus sanctions against Russia will have to be dropped but bogus sanctions against Cuba (and Venezuela and Iran) will try and be kept in place until 2100AD or so. If there was ever a collective sanction by the nations of the world against the US she would not have any trading partners left. It isn't like they don't whitewash their own crimes.

A U.S.-led military strike that killed at least 15 Syrian soldiers has officially been ruled an 'accident'.
An investigation into the September 17 operation near Dayr az Zawr in Syria found 'unintentional human errors' led to the coalition air strike, because defense officials believed they were targeting ISIS fighters.
Brigadier General Richard Coe, the investigating officer, said the errors ranged from misidentification of targets to intelligence issues and communication errors in a hotline with Russia.

Raul Castro: Ruthless and brutal like his late brother Fidel

Raul Castro was hitting the booze hard.
Mostly vodka. His favourite.
He had just taken part in the assassination of his longtime friend and comrade, General Arnaldo Ochoa Sanchez.
The general -- with Raul and his brother, Cuban strongman Fidel Castro -- had been an integral part of the cabal that ran the country since the early 1960s.
And now he was dead, accused of turning the communist nation into a drug trafficking hub for the Medellin Cartel.
Raul feared that he would be next. One of Fidel’s former bodyguards told the New York Post that during those days in 1989, he was hammered most of the time.
And his elder brother had seen enough.
Bodyguard Juan Reinaldo Sanchez heard Fidel’s tirade at Raul.
“How can you descend so low? You’re giving the worst possible example to your family and your escort,” the legendary orator began.
“If what’s worrying you is what happened [to the others] … will happen to you , let me tell you … he is not my brother. You and I have been united since we were children, for better and for worse.”
The Commandante added: “So, no you are not going to experience his fate unless you persist with this deplorable behaviour. Swear to me that you will come out of this lamentable state and I promise you nothing will happen to you.”
Fidel Castro died last week in Havana leaving his brother in charge. While the despot was well-known for his womanizing and love of luxury, Raul quietly served the revolution in the background.
Born in 1931, Raul was one of seven children.
While Fidel excelled at school, Raul reportedly preferred drinking and gambling with his amigos.
And when Fidel caught the fever for revolution, so did Raul.
Both were fervent activists against the brutal regime of dictator Fulgencio Batista. In the early 1950s, they took up arms against Batista, organizing attacks and forming a guerilla army.
According to numerous sources, it was Raul who introduced his brother to Argentine firebrand and T-shirt favourite, Ernesto Che Guevara.
After a bitter and bloody struggle, a triumphant Fidel Castro rode into Havana on New Year`s Day, 1959.
Fidel warned U.S. backed counter-revolutionaries: “Behind me come others more radical than me [he was said to be referring to Raul].”
Raul soon became his brother’s chief executioner, slaughtering and imprisoning real -- and perceived -- enemies of the state. Known for calculating ruthlessness and brutality, his nickname became “Raul the Terrible”.
And it was Raul who quietly began drawing the island nation into the orbit of the former Soviet Union, triggering the Cuban Missile Crisis.
But as Fidel Castro began fading into the limelight, it was his designated successor for almost 50 years, who decided modernization and a rapprochement with Cuba’s longtime antagonist, the United States, was crucial. He took the reins of power in 2006.
Fidel bitterly disapproved of his brother’s reforms but now it was too late, Raul was in charge.
Unlike his skirt-chasing brother, Raul was married to Vilma Espin for 48 years. She came from a wealthy background but was equally devoted to the revolution. She died in 2007.
The couple had four children and most are involved in some way or another with the regime, one daughter has been an active campaigner for LGBTQ rights in the island nation.
Raul is also said to be an admirer of U.S. President Barack Obama whereas Fidel was not. He is also an avowed fan of Pope Francis.
This from a man who once said his dream was to “drop three atomic bombs on New York City.”
While Raul has made the right noises, can a leopard truly change its spots?
“I was not chosen to be president to restore capitalism to Cuba,” he said in a speech. “I was elected to defend, maintain and continue to perfect socialism, not destroy it.”
