There was some whining on the news tonight about people avoid taxes by paying cash. I say good. In most cases those accepting cash are working people who spend what they earn in the community as opposed to the recipients of the taxes whose snout is in the trough. If I can trade a sack of garden produce for an hour's labour I'll go for it every time. Same thing if I can swap a bag or carrots for a bag of apples. It just makes good sense, which is sadly lacking in Ottawa and Victoria!
