That was back in 2020. It is even worse now.

Man, that's some seriously short-sighted "proof". Doable, probably. For how long is the big question. How long is that sustainable? Oh wait, no wonder, it's "The Star".

The problem here is they don't really define what universal means pertaining to UBI. Is it universal in that everyone qualifies but if you meet a certain income threshold you get squat but if you fall below that threshold for any reason you then get free govt cheese? Or do they mean EVERYONE gets an equal amount every month regardless of income status? That's an important distinction because the former is NOT truly universal.

We already have a universal basic income. Called welfare. No effort required except you do have to be sober long enough to apply.
CERB is going to cost us for generations. Workfare would be more beneficial. For $200/mo recipients should have to spend at least 4 hrs a day picking up garbage or some other community service.
