I like hearing men talk about their wives that way... it makes you glad there's some happy people out there.

Someday I'll find the right one I'm sure... probably off in university or something.

awwww where do I find guys like you?
Well, you know where I live, and Gil's on 50 acres somewhere in British Columbia. Maybe you need to look in Canada? :)

Seriously though self, we're everywhere. Really. Most guys I know well enough to know that kind of detail about how they think of their partners are like that.

That might be just a reflection of the kind of people I pick for friends, I suppose... But there's still a lot of us.

Dex you always make me think deeper. ... Another layer exposed and healed, Thank you.
You're welcome, though I confess I have no clear idea what you're thanking *me* for. It was you who figured it out. All I've ever done is just talk to you the same way I would anyone else I like.

Catholics and other Christians need to become more aware of the lures and traps of the NewAge in order to avoid them. We must reject the lies and false promises of Satan's New Age, and give ourselves completely to the Truth that is Jesus Christ. Satan wishes to rule the world, but God will ultimately triumph. He alone is our hope and our salvation.

Uh huh. And that god already knows exactly how it's all going to play out, because he's omniscient. It's all preordained in his mind. Why doesn't he just fix it all up right now and be done with it? He could of course, because he's also omnipotent. But that would mean changing his mind wouldn't it, and if he can change his mind it means he doesn't know it all, his omniscience fails. But if he can't change his mind, his omnipotence also fails...

If I stated my atheist position with the same degree of dogmatic certainty you express there--and I could do it by changing only a few words in that paragraph*-- I'd be accused of intolerance, insult, and heaping ridicule on religion. I don't even have to express it that certainly, I can make a probabilistic or statistical argument and get accused of the same things. It's happened here more than once. Many in fact would probably reject my previous paragraph as insult and ridicule, which it is not to anybody who can think clearly, it's perfectly logical. I at least have always conceded the possibility that I might be wrong (pending receipt of better evidence, or indeed any evidence), something you apparently find inconceivable in your dogmatic certainty.

*Just to forestall anyone challenging me to do it: Critical thinkers need to become more aware of the lures and traps of the New Age in order to avoid them. We must reject the lies and false promises of religion and the mystics' New Age, and give ourselves completely to the truth that is in science and reason. Boneheads wish to rule the world, but reason will ultimately triumph. It alone is our hope and our salvation.

Unfortunately though, I see no reason to believe reason will ultimately triumph, so I wouldn't say that.

.......encapsulation...;-)
????
encapsulation

- In general, encapsulation is the inclusion of one thing within another thing so that the included thing is not apparent. Decapsulation is the removal or the making apparent a thing previously encapsulated.
Oh, no..... I've been swallowed to the point of invisibility. 8O

Sometimes I really hope it is so. But I know not a single man like that. Sadly...

Memories

Remember this ??

http://www.thesecret.tv

Oh my, I saw this documentary, and I think my life has changed. I swear everyone should see this documentary.

Our lives, our brains, we create our reality.

By us focusing on our own negative thoughts, the universe makes that our reality.

When we think of positive thoughts, the universe creates that reality.

I was so moved, this is what my desktop now says:

This has changed my entire aspect on life.

I mean this documentary is life changing.

But the key is after watching it is to write down the notes, so its not one of those things you watch say your going to do it, and you don't.

I recommend everybody see it.

Seriously, this is an amazing reality...

Seems to me if we apply the rationale that the belief in something produces the opposite...is belief in god giving "Satan" his existence?

Hi Self! :)
That's not quite what I mean...or meant....although the Tao addresses the concept you're addressing quite adequately...
