Why is it necessary for anyone to fly at speeds approaching mach 4 and burning several times as much fuel? Like the Concord.

the ticket prices will be out of range for everyday citizens. A gigantic waste of money for those who can afford it.

The World
If people want to spend THEIR money to get there faster, that's their business. And, if you believe that it is helpful, then it is NOT a waste of money for you.

Envy is such a terrible disease.

It is not exactly their business if they are burning four times as much fuel and spreading four times as
much pollution. It is time we considered this world as belonging to all of us rather than just to those who
have the money to abuse it.

We should all conform into the thought formation of loving the environment
even when the enviro Nazi's crap on us. Feel guilt Guilt I say and you won't
want a ticket to ride.
Seriously though, this is just another advancement of science and human
kind. The things we learned from the Apollo missions advanced products
and discoveries that were of benefit to us all. Yes it will be over budget and
over priced and will likely meet the same fate as the Concord but the science
advancements will propel another generation or two of discovery that will
take us to the next plateau. It is called human progress
