The Orphan

A family of 5 walking down the street is attacked by an armed gang of 5. The vicious gang is carrying big guns.

Version 1:
The family gives any money they carry to the gang. The gang leaves. The family goes straight to the police and deposit a complaint. With a small chance, the police may recover the money back from the gang.

Version 2:
One of the children in the family is carrying a small pistol. He shoots at the gang. A fight starts. The family runs for hiding. But the father, mother and 2 children are killed. The armed kid is the only one to remain alive, and he's bravely continuing the fight. He even manages to kill one of the gang's members. He declares that a victory and starts jumping out of joy.

That kid is Hassan Nasrallah! He's today an orphan for his entire family has been wiped out. He ain't the brightest kid you can imagine

Interesting way to look at things.
One could almost admire the youngster for his resistance if the results weren't so horrifying.

Until you find out the the gang really only wanted to be left alone, but the little kid with the pistol swore that he would kill every member of the gang, no matter what, with no hope of a negotiated peace, and in fact had already set the stage towards that goal by stockpiling weapons and recruiting soldiers and hijacking the whole southern portion of a paradise nation and it's world class Capitol and had abducted and probably killed a couple of gang members while they were minding their own business, just the other day.

Poor little orphan? That's funny.

Edit: Oh yeah, several confirmed dead gang members left in the street as well as the abducted ones. What a poor innocent victimized orphan child.

Of course JTF I'm not a hizbollah sympathyzer...I was merely responding to leb's post. the story still stands. One child in the family decided to do violence and the rest of the family (and "gang") suffered due to the little guy's violence.

When you put it that way I can buy it. But that ignores the message of the story...that the boy is an innocent victim who is just fighting back. The analogy just doesn't apply to Nasrallah.

The story never states that the boy is innocent...why is he carrying the gun...no one else in the family shoots anybody.

A family is walking down the street and is attacked by a gang. You're right, there is nothing that "says" they're innocent, but it's implied...walking down the street minding their own business when out of nowhere they get mugged.

It also implies that the little turd is nuts. He gets his family killed and proclaims a victory.
As for Nasrallah he will proclaim victory no matter what happens or how many families die due to his actions...so he is a big turd.

That's true, I overlooked that angle.
