This thread has links that might help and I can better answer your questions in a thread thats related to your inquiries.

Thanks, but I think I'll drop the topic since the first reply I got wasn't favourable. Hey, I just joined the site, so i'm not trying to annoy anybody so I'm sorry I annoyed you and we'll just let it go and that'll stop me annoying you until I get to know you better. OK?

Reading through these threads have awakened my curiousity. I realize that in the scheme of things, Neopaganism is very, very young. Yet, I wonder how Neopagans tackle the big questions that many people have about life.

Such as Why is there evil? Why is there suffering? What is the purpose of life? etc

I realize that there is a thread on pagan beliefs about death but I didn't want to derail that thread with my questions.

I'm not asking with any kind of preconcieved notion as to what the anwers will be, I am honestly curious as to how Pagans answer these types of questions. It seems to me that at some point, most of us have asked these types of questions.

Yes, we all have these types of questions. With neo-pagans, you'll probably not find one definitive answer to these questions. They have a wide variety of beliefs all arrived at by each individual. that being said, it must pretty much be a free-for-all when it comes to answers to your questions.

And thats from a catholic priest that makes fun of illiterate Pagans.

Sighhh... you do enjoy the role of persecuted, don't you! "poor me", "poor me". Strength inside begins with each individual. Discover your inner strength, your centre and you'll find answers to this feeling of persecution you harbour. You CAN be loved and leave the house to engage in real relationships with other people if you begin to heal within.

Oh what a crock, you ignore most of the questions posed to you sanctus, while I will answer all questions openly and without reverting to using a question as an answer.

It's not hard to feel a tad persecuted when we the ignorant Pagans see our history, faith and callings touted as mythology by the local rep of the biggest myth of all. Not tto mention being linked to the nazi's, murdering unborn children, pornography, the list of stupidity is endless. Your OP inflamed several of your blind followers, it insighted hatred and you have the gull to mock our feelings of persecution. No wonder you can not answer direct questions, you are blind.

Once again sanctus, I will explain my continued particapation at CC. I keep coming back, although I find it frustrating and almost a waste of time, to post the oposing view or the truth of the matter, so people that may fall into this lil piece of cyber space, do not see your words as the end all, and fall under the spell you cast. Your flock(I love that title for Christian parisioners, it should actually be "sheeple" though)or sheeple are led not by a wise man, but by a fool. Anyone that bases their entire life on one book and only the words contained with in said book, is lost to the ages. Your infection of young and impressionable minds needs to be countered. Enter Bear, stage left.

I don't feel that is fair. I answer many of the direct questions asked me.If I neglect some, it is because either I don't feel like entering a verbiage war or I have not read the question.I admit freely that often I skim through some of the threads, and only stop to read when something strikes my fancy.

I shrink from no fight, I have met many a priest that fought hard to sway my ways, but with little to none of the sarcasm and intolerance that you not only post, but draw out of others.

But yes sactus, you do ignore direct question, a failing that has insighted my rage from time to time. It is also quite arrogant to try and insinuate the oposite, while pointing at the kettle from under your post.

well, as I said, I don't mean to ignore questions. I suspect I just haven't read them, not an excuse, an explanation. I do admit that there are some people here I gnerally never read the posts from, except once in a blue moon.

As to a fight, I consider none of this a fight. It's a sharing of opinions, and, if truth be known, am not concerned one way or the other if people agree or disagree with me. It's the internet, not reality, in my opinion. For me, it's not life, but a diversion from life.
