Is there a reputable site with Native theology/spirituality on it that you might suggest I can delve into?
No prob, any time.
I'm surprised the very highly educated and high IQ'd Christian, had to ask the low IQ Pagan what that was.
Try wikiality, you might find that many different Nations had many different notions, some male, some female.
From my past and my up bring, She has always been a she.
Don't belittle yourself. You're hardly a man of low IQ...and frankly I am enough of a child of the 60's and 70's to not always believe a piece of paper qualifies anyone as necessarily intelligent.
I'm actually not big on short-forms, so often they fly over my head.

Sorry, perhaps I was IDF'ing the whole Christian movement and got you with the colateral damage again. Somewhere in here, some asshat said Pagans were all low IQ'd boobs. While I will admit some have boobs and nice ones I might add(wink wink, you know who). I highly doubt the expansive knowledge of herbal sciences can be considered a dismal intellectual pass time.

You might take care in what you read though, you opinion on our history, as I have seen, is quite mired in its own muck, reading such web sites, migh tjust enlitghten you to our history and some of the plights and challenges we have had to face since the invasion.

Pagans, regular folk....can't know what's "right" or "wrong". Ordinary people don't feel anger sorrow happiness....are completely out of touch with the genesis of the particular 'trigger' that elicits these emotions. Basic stuff like....if you're unkind to someone...or if you prefer...physically abuse a person, that person feels pain. The vast majority of people don't like pain....
Organized religions "inform" all us ignorant savages about what right and wrong actually are because human beings don't know and aren't capable of discriminating between right and wrong unless 'informed' by some scholarly type translating ancient texts that were created when human beings were a great deal smarter....more aware and certainly more knowledgeable about the world than we are today.
The ultimate denial of self....of the lucidity and temperament to interpret how we each feel as human beings is all that the Catholic Church and all the other "great" religous ideologies demand. Starting out from the basis of "stained with sin" "sinful natures", inherently and incontrovertably flawed...ignorant and incapable of sohpisticated thought and concepts demanding greater insight than human beings are capable of comprehending....unless led to our senses by the learned men of the cloth....
Surrender to our will, deny your humanity for the corrupt evil thing that it is and once you realize how ignorant and savage you are...you'll see how much more life can be if you simply abandon all this nonesense you built around you about understanding life....and allow me your priest your holy man your pathway to god....to tell you what you should feel, how you should feel it and when it's appropriate and when it isnt....
Discrimination is acceptable so long as you discriminate against the people the church identifies for you as deserving of discrimination...women...gays and lesbians.....anyone that doesn't conform to our ideas or who rejects the understanding we will grant to you about what a lowly despicable life-form you are....unless you believe what WE believe...
Tar and feathers used to be the salve used on con-men and grifters but today we have the holy roman church manipulating millions into birthing children in the absence of education or even talk about birth control....convincing millions that it's only been a few bad apples over the course of the past twenty-five hundred years who've shed a bloody rubiness on the Conquistadors...Cortez Pizzaro et al. who slaughtered millions with the churches blessing....
Religion as formulated practiced and encouraged by the Roman Catholic Church and many if not all of the major religions espouse concepts and notions that the practitioners and even the most holy men of those religions feel free to usurp and deny when it's convenient.
Lies upon lies for generations with no light at the end of the tunnel indicating when their abuse of people will end.
It's simply too bad that a movement with the potential to change the life circumstances of millions is instead used as tool by politics and manipulated by the holy-men to marginalize the very people these charlatans purportedly seek to help.
And too bad that an otherwise probably nice gentleman like Sanctus is cannon fodder to the Papal See, the Vatican and the whole filthy lot....

I do have a few comments......Rom my heart burst reading your post. No we will NOT go gently into the night. We will not force people to believe as we believe either. They came with boats and changed our beliefs, the brought plagues and death marched us across the land we loved so much. We hid our beliefs and now it is the time of renewal. I am SO proud of who I am and what I believe. Many have threatined me over the years....with death, with hell, with possession. I laugh now because I believed their threats to take my childen, imprisson me in assyloms. I feeared the wrath of their almighty god, just as my ancesters did.
I educated myself with books and spoken lore. We have no book to follow, nor do we have ancient writings to tell us. Our books are in our stories in our myths in our love of the land and in the respect of life. I come from a long line of Human Beings. The past 4 centries Ive come from Human Beings afraid to BE Human Beings (Bear you will totally get that statement)
Today I spent the afternoon with a 21 year old gay Pagan that has more sense than most men I know and DEFINATELY has more on the ball than most kids I know. He sees life with fresh hopeful eyes and Im proud to know people like him and those here that REALLY get it. It makes me feel safe to BE a Human Being.

no, i mean i thought that being a priest and all he should only be reading about catholic stuff-=like maybe it was a rule. maybe not? hey, do they learn about other religions in seminary???
Their supposed to. I had to in college. So will you. I dont think our corriculums are to different.

anyway, i think im going to university not college.
My daughter is going to Salvation Army Officer School. Its kinda a seminary. The teach church history,church rules, their sposed to teach some kind of counciling, missionary work, minister stuff. She goes next year. And according to her Im going to hell too LOL
