a Liberal MP
Agreed.I don't think he'd fit in with any party. I'd want to vote him in as an independent.
...I think you might be onto something. You're joking, right?
Sometimes I wonder about you, Liberalman. Are you really a member of the Liberal Party, or are you an anti-Liberal troll trying to undermine the Liberal Party.
No offense intended.
Trudeau a true Liberal leader who was not afraid to bring in the War Measures Act when Quebec was on the verge of a revelution
A Conservative leader would just let Canada be ripped apart

It was nothing more then a desperate act, by someone well out of his league.Or was it an act to keep this great country together and since you wore the uniform you should be proud of our soldiers for kept peace on the streets of Montreal
I respect Trudeau for his apparent good intentions. I hope they were genuine, but we'll never know.
As for the success of his policies, they're a mixed bag. The OLA, though perhaps well-intentioned, has proven untenable, and coul have been avoided by simple consultation with the wider community, since the probems of the OLA had been foreseen even in his time. He was hard-headed in that sense, and that is what resulted in poor decisions on his part.
Perhaps he was the best Prime Minister but it was only for eastern Canada. And he did make mistakes. Alienating the west, sticking us with metric system because the US was rumored to be thinking about it, no preparation for the aftereffects of stirring up the charter of r&f, etc., for instance.Trudeau may have been the best Prime Minister Canada ever had in the sense that he at least recognized the importance of culture in promoting national unity. He may have made many mistakes, but then again, only those who are willing to advance and develop the nation will make mistakes, and only those who do nothing will not make mistakes.
However, it's time for us to learn from Trudeau's mistakes and be willing to revisit his policies if necessary to correct those mistakes.
Now back to the OP, I think we need more MPs like that hero.

The kind of MP I would like to see is intelligent, ethical, HONEST, visionary, resourceful, adaptable, innovative, methodical, analytical, altruistic, efficient, secular, non-pc, etc. and just so most Canadian sheeple would vote for him as an MP, relatively good-looking and charismatic.
I wasn't asking for anything. I was just answering the question. lolSo in other words:

No, you're not asking for much, are you Anna?

Is that all you're asking for? Right now, just well-behaved would already be a step up for most of them.![]()
