The Junior Hockey Thread

Our Canadian Women's hockey team defeated Finland today to advance to the Gold Medal round.

Right now our Canadian Juniors - under 18 - are playing the U.S. in their Gold medal game. Our kids just scored a PP goal to lead the game 1 - 0 about 5 minutes into the 1rst. The U.S. are favored in this game as they have played together longer.

Just wanted to give a shout out to my Medicine Hat Tigers for going 6 and 1 since all their players returned. Emerson Etem is on fire. I hope he sprains his ankle on Christmas Eve and misses the World juniors though. The Americans will be good enough without him.

Me and a buddy were talking about a road trip to Regina this year to take in a game. Unfortunately, the Tigers don't play on a Saturday nigtht so it's not gonna happen unless we want to take time off work. I'm game but my buddy isn't. I think they play in Moose Jaw on a Saturday so that's as close as we will come.

Woot woot....Tigers go up 3 - 0 against the Blades. Etem's on fire. Pleasant surprised. I figured this series was going to be a lot closer but Saskatoon doesn't seem to have an answer for Etem.

Took in the Medicine Hat Tigers game against Victoria tonight. Damn the tigers are looking good.

Medicine Hat are looking good again this year. Went to Lethbridge to watch the Hurricanes/Tigers game. Absolutely dominated.
