Actually, True North is waaayyyy more factual than CBC - it's one of the better independent media along with the Rebel media. The reason why they're both so hated is that they actually provide factual reporting. But they also provide an "opinion" about these issues as well and it's obvious which is which. In the MSM, opinions are considered "facts" which is where the difference is. You can also confirm the facts reported by the independents because all one has to do is research and you'll find it.
Are there search engines that are less manipulated by algorithms when doing research?

I' not too sure about that. I have a cousin has gold fever real bad. Almost killed him once. But it doesnt seem to be the dollar value of the gold that attracts him.It is more like fishing for that elusive whopper.
How important is gold in God’s economy?

That's not a reset. Praying had no effect on Damar Hamlin's health status, intercessory prayer does not work, it's been tested in properly controlled double blind studies and showed no detectable effect. People pray because it gives them the comforting illusion of doing something useful when in fact they're helpless to do anything. Hamlin's being alive is due entirely to the efforts of medical practitioners properly trained in modern scientific medicine. The credit belongs to them, and *only* to them.

Thanks for reading the article and weighing in, DS. I believe the premise of the article is that Americans still pray.

Many do.

I wonder if Jesus is happy with all the things they pray for.

Question. . . if Gawd gets the credit for everybody who suffers a life-threatening illness or injury, gets prayed for, and survives, does Gawd get the blame for everybody who suffers a life-threatening illness or injury, gets prayed for, and dies?

Nobody doubts that, hardly worth an article to make just that point. I thought the premise is that some of them prayed ostentatiously and publicly and nobody objected. It’s right in the headline, “without pushback.”

So I decided to pushback.

So I thought I would.
Argumentum ad populam, I do believe is Motar's game here.

And I believe Jesus wasn't real fond of ostentatious public prayer.

A good question for God, TB.

It's odd that I pretty much tend to live a Christian life, behavior-wise (though I admit my speech could be a mite more moderate).

Maybe it's because, like true Christians, I'm not afraid.
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us”
(1 John 4:16-19, NIV).

You may not believe it had "no effect" on Damar but millions of people do. What's so wonderful about it is that there is NOTHING you can do to change their beliefs. It brings people peace and why would anyone want to take that away from them? You believe what you want to and leave those who do alone.

To play devils advocate, were the double blind studies blind from God? If you believe in the supreme being one could conclude He can see through a study and therefore those results are meaningless.
