No they don't I know dozens & dozens of people who hunt and none eat Bear or Cougar.

The Simple Fact is that the Grizzly Hunt is Over except for the crying.

A lot of people eat Bear meat you just didn't find any yet is all, the taste and texture is like pork a little sweeter and greasier, the big turn off is they look human after being skinned. Asian's like saving the gull bladder as well.

2010 was horrific on deer. I don't bale or have any hay but donated barley for SWF feeding stations.

Our area got hit hard almost 50-60% winter kill, tough time keeping the wolves away from feed sites, they didn't help matters either.

We don't have wolf issues yet but they are coming. I've shot enough coyote to kick the door open for wolves and fox.

You have to understand also Twila that the regular Canadians that hunt and fish are reason why we have such a strong habitat conservation culture in this country. Anglers and hunters provide more money for habitat conservation than the government does. City folk need to understand this.
They also destroy a lot of stuff that the taxpayer ends up fixing.

Perhaps it is time to reinstall the human hunt, or send the hunters in where the hunted have a shot at being the hunters themselves.
