Americans waving their flags and cheering tarriffs on Canada and Canadians cheering for counter-tarriffs are essentially cheering against themselves.
Put down your faux outrage and use the part of the brain that isn't attached to the mob.

A 25% counter-tarriff means CANADIANS pay 25% more, and that's on top of the inflation that the Liberals already hoisted on our shoulders.

This entire WAR could have been avoided if we'd had an election months ago. But the Liberals cared more about holding onto power and stoked the flames of this trade war by biting on every troll Donald Trump threw out there. It could have been de-escalated had they not run around with their hair on fire screaming, "It's War! They want to invade! 51st State!" The Liberals needed this because their numbers were in the toilet, and nothing stirs up the masses like a faux war and a dog that needs wagging.

It's mind-boggling how folks are buying into this, but worse, they have forgotten how we got here in the first place.

I have to give the Liberals credit; they are better narcissists than Trump's Republicans.

If the Liberals win, we (ordinary Canadians) are the ones who will get fucked.

Again.

Without repealing C-36, we will be held prisoner by the Americans. Carney's already said they won't repeal it. I can get 50 and Ex in Alberta, what gives in your locale, Petros?

C-36? Did you mean C-63 that will be a bone of contention the next time USMCACUSMANAFTA gets negotiated? Or C-69 (environmental assessment act)?

Dyslexia is a terrible disease.
Memory loss is worse.

Yes, I meant C-63
Empathy on the Dyslexia. d b p q are all the same symbol, especially when I’m tired. Bills c10 (which got stuffed through as c11) opened the door towards c63.

When the Online Harms Act was introduced earlier this year, the federal government estimated it would take more than 300 people to enforce its measures. Parliamentary Budget Officer Yves Giroux issued a report in the summer suggesting staffing and enforcement would cost about $200 million over five years.

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has been critical C-63's measures, which would oversee the new rules with a five-member digital safety commission and Heritage department staff. The Conservative leader has said bullying and other forms of online harms should be handled by police, not "pushed off to a new bureaucracy."

Poilievre said the Liberals government should instead focus on modernizing existing laws. A spokesperson for Poilievre said a future Conservative government would repeal the legislation once it took office.

Other groups, like the B.C. Civil Liberties Association and OpenMedia, have warned that the bill's changes to the Criminal Code could significantly undermine free speech in Canada.

OpenMedia executive director Matt Hatfield released a statement Wednesday welcoming the decision to set aside the more controversial parts of the Online Harms Act, describing it as a "huge win for Canadians."

"In a precarious House, Bill C-63 was unlikely to make its way successfully to becoming law shackled to the deeply speech-chilling proposals of [the bill]," he said.
This is even from the Liberal cheerleaders at the CBC.
