I didn't have to buy. I worked on the Star and took share options from Kensington Resources. My buddy Shawn still runs the show.

Thats good. Maybe Nunavut will swap them for this 'fully functioning diamond mine'
Shear in Shambles Due To Weak Diamond Prices

From which the owners have just mysteriously vanished, leaving 'huge piles of mined unprocessed HIGH GRADE DELUXE DIAMOND ORE just sitting on the surface.......

So why is your buddy want to peel off three hundred feet of overburden when Jericho is just sitting there ?

From Jericho's press release:
Shear had announced on September 4 that it would not process its high grade stockpiles at its Jericho mine while the market asking price for rough diamonds was low, hoping prices would soon rise and operations restarted. But without any income from diamond sales, its marketing partner Tache company has given the company notice of its loan defaults and its "intention to enforce security".

With Shear being unable to secure any additional funding thus far and without any certain prospects on the immediate horizon, Shear director Gregory Rieveley has resigned from the board, according to Jewelry N

Which is shorthand for :

we done run out of cash, credit, &borrowing ....

seriously now, the mine prob. reopens soon in recievership. The original investors are SOL.
No point keeping the rig shut down, if you don't have to pay the principal & interest- or dividends.
And you don't think that developing the worlds biggest pipe that you can take a bus to is worth while because one on the tundra sits after jackazzes from a hick Mid East country couldn't cut the Arctic mustard??

lol That depends. Some things rise in quality as they age. :D
I sure did.

I looked at your buddy's op plan at La Corne years ago. Youhave to pit down 300 feet of overburden, then start blasting k=lite. You cna figuer the costs.

What is the value of aggregates to a booming economy in a building frenzy? That overburden is worth a fortune not to mention the trees that will be cooked for methanol.
