The destruction of the west by education

It's not just university grads finding it difficult to secure good jobs though. Even twenty five years ago I remember university grads doing the floors in the plant I worked at. The jobs have been shipped overseas, that started with free trade and it dosn't seem to matter how far you go into debt for your eduction even if you do get the dream job ten years of your productive life are sucked up by banks while you scramble to pay the loans off. The banks have discovered how to draw on your time allotment even before you are suitably trained or employed.

Taking on debt in the form of student loans is a choice... There is nothing stopping someone from working for a few years to amass a body of money and then go to school.

In fact, that strategy will likely motivate a potential student to pursue their studies more seriously as opposed to hoping that the experience will be little more than a 4 year party

Except the horrible job market for students. The loan is a choice no argument but it's also a gamble and it's also likely to be based on unreliable couching and little real research about future potential in a shrinking economy. Poor education even before you get to the start gate. Job expectations have to be based on real world experience and conditions, so I'm suggesting that well before university age the student already has unrealistic expectations based on shoddy math and market conditions poorly understood that inhibits sound judgements.

There are great many unemployed university graduates that support the findings of poor early and late education.

Amazing! So if you have no reasonable solid indication that you will likely be able to pay on such an amount of debt why oh why do young people do it? Could it be a matter of education?
