It can also be said that this duty falls with the job description of a police officer, even if he is corrupt.

Yes, however in the event of such corruption, it is highly likely his contribution to such corruption has caused either directly or indirectly, far more death and injuries than that which the Officer will even attempt to help with in his entire career.

Ultimatley...it would depend on the scale of corruption. If the officer had killed 10 corrupt men and saved one innocent child..well I think you see where I'm taking this.

Even if as you speculate, (s)he is a puppet for the wealthy...his/her concerns could lie with his/her family. Making a better life for them. Not glamourous, but indisputably noble.

Now, let me get this straight.... I read it THREE times.

We have a new Law of Physics here - one can "cause, either directly or indirectly" MORE than one "will even attempt to help with"...........

DAMN IT TO HELL! - SOMEBODY CALL NASA!!! WE'VE JUST DISCOVERED ANTI-MATTER! Next step is Warp-Drive!!!

Indeed, everything is proportionally circumstantial.

And your train of thought seems to be proportionally circumcisionial.....

It is unfortunate that you appear to be far less intelligent than the average Canadian.

If an officer kills 100 men directly, and only directly helps 99 from death or injury in the rest of his career, then what I said makes sense. If an officer indirectly kills 10, 000 men and only directly helps 99 in the rest of his career, then what I said also makes sense.

Perhaps, you should avoid any complicated physics for a while, it seems to have overloaded your cerebrum. One must after all, limit his daily knowledge intake proportional to his cranial capacity.

I don't see it as proportional...just a matter of where value is placed

It's a matter of where the value is placed in proportion to the reasons behind the placement and the circumstances in which they were placed.

After tonight, you ordering coffee with a cream and two sugars wouldn't make sense......... hold onto your pants; I think you are bound for some other dimension.

"baffle-gab", pure and simple. Which is, of course, an oxymoron.

Ahhh... but the one innocent child is a clean slate neither corrupt or incorruptable. There is raw potential there. 10 already corrupt men being removed from the face of the Earth...can also be said to be a benefit to society. He is helping to remove the corruption we fear.
