Ya, it was reported that the materials that windmills are made of are not recyclable which totally misses the point of having them to begin with. How long do they last? Average "maybe 20 years if that". So, in addition to killing thousands of birds, people having medical issues because they're living too close to them and not being recyclable, what's the point? We aren't even able to get a substantial amount of power created by using them and they're UGLY! Natural gas is much preferable as it's clean and reliable and we've lots of it. Can't fix stupid can you?

Five years if they are near salt water. Some of them didn't last that long on the North Island.
