While Surfing on the internet site. I came to know the story of the president of Honduras.(Honduras is located in Central America). he (Porfirio Lobo) is now crazy about taekwondo. he said, he starts the day life with it and he has managed Honduras with the philosophy in taekwondo. the philosophy is the strict manners and norms. he also said, his thought & love to it is help for him to administrate and made him to be more respected by people. he always have a certification in his wallet (showing the class) After reading his story, I became curious about it and thought that it will be good for my brother to learn it. is there anyone learning something like taekwondo? how about this? My son actually is a martial arts instructor (karate) and I've become (somewhat) familiar with martial arts as a result of this. What I can tell you is that it builds discipline and self-confidence. There is the sports/competition side of it as well, but personally that holds little interest to me.

My son actually teaches mostly children and quite a few of those kids have severe developmental difficulties (ranging from ADD to Downs Syndrome) and he's found that it's been quite good for them. Helps somewhat with their ability to focus.

I'm not sure how old your brother is, but from what I can tell, kids have a tremendous amount of fun, they get great exercise, learn the value of hard work and competition, and develop excellent self-discipline skills as well.

Don't know if that's the kind of opinion you were looking for but it's my two cents worth anyway.
