I don't know her name but there is a young female figure skater from California (California champion, I believe) that I look forward to watching in 2014. She's a sweetie who lights up the ice with her enthusiasm and spirit.

I think you may be referring to Mirai Nagasu, Kreskin. You are right, she is a cutey and a really great skater to boot.

It was a great effort by Vancouver, the organizers, builders, volunteers. Great facilities, friendly and sporting atmosphere, a few bumps.. but you're going to get that with an event of this magnitude. I thought the Opening Ceremony was great. I wonder if the Closing Ceremony was designed by the same producers who brought us Trailer Park Boys... but i guess it was to some people's taste.

It's no sense applying the words best of worst to these events. They all have their own character and idiosyncrasies. But it was a very well organized and run Olympics.

And of course Canada had a record setting run of Gold, and a jewel in the Crown in the Men's Hockey Gold.. so i guess it was worth the $4 billion spent. Anything for a good party.:blob3::blob3:

Vancouver put on a great winter games. I checked the ratings here in Oz and around 1 million aussie viewers were tuned in each night, and that was just on one free to air channel and as far as i understand didn;t include the cable dedicated channels which most of us keen fans used. whatever that means - it's lots! how good was the hockey final. Having been to the calcary olympics in 88, it was good to see how much energy the vancouver event carried over. So many good memories. always disappointed when the winters are over, and already looking forward to the next one, though it was a show that will be hard to top!
congrats to all involved and big cheers to the BC people for being so warm and friendly :)

I think we've had quite a few. Donavan Bailey as well as the 4x100 team. Simon Whitfield, triathlon. Wrestling, swimming..there have been many.

Yes, the last skater to perform the other night. She skated
a perfect routine, full of clean jumps and artistic impression was great, and it's a good thing that rochette
was 7 points ahead of her going into the program, or she
would have been out of the medals, but you're right, next
time she will show em.

Ah, I should have known. Must have been someone who was jealous of the Canadian victory in the hockey game who said you guys never won a summer gold medal.
