the 2010 olympics are not far off..........so the coastal area is busy improving highways......and Whistler has a lot of construction taking place.......all for the better.

It's pretty low to be putting down another province especially when doing it internationally.
Are you trying to propagate myths and stereotypes? I'm sure we could come up with a whack of negative things about BC.
Besides, are you luring this girl with nice coastal areas? She's from Australia; BC can't hold a candle to what they got down there. Great, invite her to see construction, getting stuck in traffic on the sea to sky highway will be a highlight for her trip! In case you didn't know, this whole Olympic thing is kind of been there, done that for Aussies!
