My dad came to my defense online, but for the first time I am outing myself publicly. I'm 14. Please stop calling me a w h o r e.

My husband's vasectomy was no more of a medical issue than an abortion, and I had no say. Docs didn't give me a vote. They didn't check to see if I was done having a kid. So don't pretend reproductive issues aren't medical issues, or that men are under one rule and women under another.

The medical side of it is a no-mans land.... you don't get a say in your wife's need for an abortion, a ligation, a hysterectomy, nothing, and she doesn't get a say in your reproductive choices, when it comes down to the medical legality of it.

Trying to abolish abortion from the legal end is backwards. There is no way to rid ourselves of the medical need for an abortion, when we leave the social need for it intact. And the social need for it doesn't vanish with accusations and ignorance.

My dear, your husband having a v-cut Doesn't stop you from having another child...

I can see how a 14 year old might be surprised how ignorant some adults can be. Doesn't surprise me though. I found this posted on my son's FB page. Linked it on mine. Just thought it was interesting that not everybody in Texas is a religious right wing fruit loop.

She's a 14 year old talking about d's in her v. She may not be a religious fruit loop, but she's not exactly right in the head either if she thinks that is appropriate discourse. While I get the desire to shock people, she heard what impression it leaves on people. It's that simple.

I've dropped some pretty salty insults on here, I've made some pretty brash statements from time to time. And people react appropriately and predictably 9 times out of 10. Shock, disgust, anger, and retaliation. If she's wanting to join the public venue of adult discourse, she will get adult discourse in return.

Muffin, I fail to see what that has to do with what was being discussed.

Either Dear Abby or Helpful Heloise pointed out that the prudent housewife ALWYS keeps liquid nitrogen, Small baggies and a sealable freezer container in the case her hubby gets a V- job unannounced...

Always Be prepared Hon. Beats having to have the next baby with Ernesto the Gardeners helper...:p

Ah, so you're asserting that I can legally force him to donate sperm.

Yeah, no.

Yeah, no.

The idea ,Hon, is to discretely drop the baggie into the container of liquid nitrogen than you have discreetly hidden under the Bed...couch,.. kitchen table... motorcycle fairing... seat of car. seat of public transport.... his desk... canoe thwart...8O saddlebag....err, wherever...

Oh, no.

You know what this means. . .

More Texans.

Mo' likely means that the Maquiladora zones of North 'Texico' just got a whole new boost on life .

Cutie, you seem to be a bit confused about the point of the conversation, which was legal right to exert control over someone else's medical choices regarding their reproductive system. We're all aware there are a million and one underhanded, slimy things, people can do to mess with someone else's birth control attempts.

The last of the old Church run places where pregnant girls went to "visit an aunt" was recently sold off for condos by the local Diocese.

I guess things are better now that the Church is out of the business of birthing and placing the unwanted into wanting homes without costing the taxpayer a penny.

They'd rather pay the cost of the murder, societal impact of immigration to make up the new shortcomings, poverty and emotional devastation of the female
.

Petros has raised a good point that has been glossed over. If you want to ban abortion, then lets see a clean slate of expenses paid for the mother to end of term, a guarantee of a steady job when she returns to the workforce, and a smoothed adoption process. PLUS a cash bonus.

If you expect THAT in Rick Perry's Darwinian Tejas, then you HAVE been hitting the CC bottle.

Or its 1955, and they can just cross the border and take their chances...
