Texas Governor Rick Perry will save the Republicans in the 2012 election

Actually no, he likely wont. According to a recent poll in Perry's home state of Texas, Barack Obama leads Rick Perry by 2 percentage points, 47% to 45%. (Which is a statistical tie.)

Also, Obama is competitive in Texas against all other Republican challengers. And Texas hasn't voted for a Democrat for President since 1976. The red state that gave the world George W. Bush could (could) be a blue state in 2012.

Yep. Most of the 9% undecideds in the Obama/Romney matchup are independents, and Obama's leads with independents 47% to 33%. That would be worth about 3 to 4 points in Obama's overall total alone.

Even though the topline is Romney 50%, Obama 42%, Obama's overall number is more like 45%-46%.

Rick Perry Vetoes “Buy American” Bill Approved 145-0 by Texas House




Rare is it that you get true bipartisan support on anything political these days, but that’s exactly what happened a few days ago when the Texas Senate and House sent the “Buy American” bill to Governor Rick Perry’s desk.

Passing the Senate by a vote of 23-7 and the House 145-0, the Texas legislature overwhelmingly passed a bill meant to give preference to American-made goods for purchase by the State of Texas when they are of equal cost and quality to foreign-made products.

In other words, if an American-made product and foreign-made product are of equal quality and cost, when the state is purchasing a good or service, the state would always give preference to the American-made product or service.

You really can’t be shocked by his behavior. After all, what did conservatives expect? This is a man who publicly slammed the 2009 stimulus bill, while privately using money from that very same stimulus to balance his state’s budget.

Despite his nationwide tour trying to lure businesses to Texas, Perry vetoed this bill because it turns out he doesn't actually care about American workers or American jobs.

Clearly Rick Perry cares more about multinational corporations that outsource jobs to developing countries with shoddy labor standards than he does about Texan and American workers. This is craven and petty, even for Rick Perry.

I think if Gov continues on its course much longer, all fifty states and half of the territories are going to change from red or blue to just vomit green.

A nation can only take so much of this bullsh!t before things start to get really messy in the worst sort of way.

The USA has already come to the simmering point. It's the point at which blame gets sliced up and tossed around in every possible direction while barely anybody is offering a valid solution. Those that ARE offering valid solutions are getting laughed at and called madmen because the majority have become a gluttonous, self centered, self important, lazy, grossly undereducated and flat out brainwashed collection of animals and cretins.

So, don't expect a leader to arise and solve the deficit, strengthen national security, ensure prosperity for all, or provide for the general well being of this nation. That time has long past. The USA will elect a leader the stupid, ignorant masses have been asking for for the last three decades.
