Is that why the US is the most despised country on the planet and even its closest allies don't trust it?

You mean the ones that are in Iraq and Afghanistan? Including Canada? (Afghanistan)

Obviously not the ones who voted for him. Big surprise there.

"Sageman points out that the root of the misconception is the fact that bin Laden and his lieutenants did have control of this whole social movement for five years, from 1996 to 2001. But all of that changed when Al Qaeda's control "more or less evaporated" at their height in 2001 after the loss of its sanctuary in Afghanistan."

"He argues that Al Qaeda has been subsumed into the larger Salafi jihad revivalist movement that predates it."

"Sageman says that by destroying the training camps, the U.S. eliminated the financial and operational backing bin Laden provided the jihad. "By cutting off the 'golden chain,' he really doesn't have that much money left. We're monitoring his communication so he can't communicate with his troops. The whole network degenerated because [we] undermined the control of this social movement." "

I'll just repost this.

Ever see a chicken with its head freshly cut off? It can run about and such...

Post it as many times as you want, it's a crock. They're in Pakistan, Africa, Iraq, the Balkans, they're everywhere.

Do you really think Bin Laden's departure from Sudan meant all ties were cut? The Horn of Africa is a terrorist haven, from Sudan to Ethiopia and so on. If they aren't officially part of AQ, they are affiliated. Why do you think American soldiers are replacing the French in Djibouti? What is my point you ask? My point is that they are mobile. Shut one camp down, another oopens up elsewhere. They're like Kirby Vacuum sales outlets.

I don't doubt their out there Said, I just think we dealt them a heavy blow. I'm sure they are regrouping or what ever, and I'm sure there are more groups in existence and more to come....

We will be fighting them for a long time I'm sure.

I see some of you you are still in denial about the harm done to the USA's place in the world by the outlaw nature of the Bush regime. Too bad. Denying it won't change it.

Even if it were true Rev, Russia and China don't seem to be greatly affected by their horrible misdeeds today, and they outweigh what the US has done by far.

The USA is responsible for bringing much freedom in the world…

We just don’t see things the same way.

China and Russia aren't claiming to be the greatest countries on earth, they don't claim to be spreading democracy, and they keep their crimes against humanity as quiet as possible.

The USA claims to be the greatest country on earth, refers to their president as the leader of the free world even though most of us aren't allowed to vote against him, and brags about their illegal acts as if those acts are some sort of virtue.

Russia won't claim that...they used to though...

I'm pretty sure China does claim that.

The USA is one of the greatest countries on the planet, and as I've said before...the lesson learned should be not to F*ck with them. They are not going to be trapped by anything when some stupid good for nothing bunch of thieves decides to slam some planes into the Twin Towers.

American enemies be on the look out.

And now you can add G8 enemies to it…enough is enough. Its war time…

That's nice, that should obsolve them of everything

Rather I would say....We have to stand united against these thieves.
