A better question might be why are we subsidizing or exempting anything or anybody ?
If you look at the size of the tax codes they are enormous and convoluted .

My tax man has access to much that would make you and I sick to our tax stomachs.


If the news media had access to the tax records, many politically and charitably connected would be in jail for fraud.
