Muslims aren't a race. I think the word you wanted was "bigot".

Are you insinuating that Canada and the USA are just as unjust, racist, and xenophobic? IOW, the difference is that anytime any of those things rears up we try to correct it, unlike S. Arabia.

It's nice to be sceptical, but when you refuse to recognize that even a majority of Muslims feel the taliban are despicable, you are speaking from ignorance.

You know better than this guy what the taliban are like?

The taliban started out being quite different than what they are now. Unfortunately, what they are now is pretty much despised by most societies all over the world.

Here, stretch, read the part here about the origins of the taliban and see if the present taliban and their exploits are anything alike.

All of which Canada is at least trying to rectify. This is unlike Saudi Arabia, which does not seem to want to rectify any of its notoriety. :tard:

This is the backup for your claim that Canada is trying to extinguish an entire batch of cultures by assimilation?
Last I heard, Canada was busy trying to please native populations and come to agreements with them.
Your argument is ridiculous.

Canadian cultural policy has been damaging and difficult... coming into a technological age has had severely adverse effects on native physiology and psychology. But you might want to brush up no the term genocide, and the intent needed to qualify for that label. You also might want to look into all the ways that Canada reviews its policies and attempts to adapt its care and its direction in order to fix things. I know three women who work in native social services who would strenuously disagree with your assessment that the government is attempting to eliminate natives.

also, the seismic testing never went through in Nunavut, the Inuit took their case to the court and got it blocked . an incredible victory for them.

The point is that Harper, just like our past leaders, don't give a damn about the natives.
Because studies showed it would have no long term adverse affects on them, their food supply or their culture?

Keep stretching cub...now, I'm still waiting for you to back up your vacuous claims Cub.

The longer you go without providing some proof, the worse it will be for your rep.

That's non-sense. The government does all sorts of crap that pisses everyone off, not just select groups.

I certainly didn't like having my tax dollars squandered on the G20 and the inconvenience it caused but i'm not going to cry about it saying the government doesn't give a damn about me.

There have been injustices done to the Natives but the seismic thing ranks damn close to the bottom.

An incredible victory? Are you kidding me, resolving the remaining treaties would be an incredible victory, not a victory against sound waves.

BTW, did you know that the US used earthquake machines to cause the tsunami a few years back?

you do get that you negate your point, when you point out that we have checks and balances in place that allow even people you think the government is trying to kill off, to walk into a court room (part of the gov btw), and have an injustice addressed.

the inuits and the judge who ruled over the case, strongly disagreed.
So you said...

So much for Canada running over that Native culture eh?

Any other claims of yours you want to dispatch with? By your own hand no less.

And I'm still waiting for you to back up your vacuous claims Cub.

Karrie, this troll has no idea how he just destroyed his own claim.

Didn't Harper support seismic testing in the Arctic? Vehemently opposed by the inuit of course
Do you even have a clue what's involved in seismic testing?
They use geophones and other instrumentation. Occasionally they use what we called "thumpers" which were large heavy machine that pound the ground.
And this testing is wiping out how many Inuit?
Haven't the Canadian courts ordered a reduction of it?
When was the last time a Saudi court demanded a reduction in human rights violations?

also, the seismic testing never went through in Nunavut, the Inuit took their case to the court and got it blocked . an incredible victory for them.
Yup. So because the gov't tossed out the idea of seismic testing you somehow think the gov't is trying to kill off the Inuit and their culture?
That's quite a contortion.

Kind of makes Orwell's notion..."We are all capable of believing things which we know to be untrue, and then, when we are finally proved wrong, impudently twisting the facts so as to show that we were right."
...quite right.
