again, do try to be more articulate and clear in your posting. By "extremes" do you mean "differences"? As in temperature differences like nick posted? If you did, then yes, there are places with larger temperature differences during the day. Even that though, should be clarified and quantified. When talking about temp differences throughout the day are you talking about overall difference between early morning and late afternoon? Largest increase in a 1 hour period? A shorter period? Come on jlm, why be so vague?


Gerry, I wasn't trying to be particularly articulate or scientific. Over the years, I've spent many days in Calgary- I've seen frigid temperatures mere hours before the snow drips off the roof and I've seen myself getting a sun tan in intense heat mere hours before having to put on a winter coat. The point I was making is it often fluctuates very quickly. I was just doing some "banter" not running a f**king almanac.

I've been to Calgary, I gotta know, did she sit in that chair all-night with a drink in her hand and what did she do to get warm. Please tell me that isn't what middle-schools teachers look like these days.
