 Is there a point 2 to all this hogwash?

Hogwash: Worthless, false, or ridiculous speech or writing; ludicrously false statements; nonsense.

Synonyms: bullshit, bull, Irish bull, horseshit, shit, crap, bunk, bunkum, buncombe, guff, rot, dogshit.

Antonyms: sense, truth.

None whatsoever.

With this guy you might as well have your say and move on.

He has no argument.

"homosexuals are genetic dead-enders" he says.

Funny, I've heard of lots of homosexuals with kids. Someone should send him a copy of Suzy has Two Mommies....it is geared to his intellectual level.

That article is completely irrelevant.
Ah, so anything that doesn't support your basic premise is irrelevant? That's an interesting way to debate. Unfortunately for you, it's also not the CORRECT way to do so. You really don't WANT a debate, do you?

Point 1 is that Homosexuals (themselves - not their reproductive sisters) are genetic dead-enders.
Except that we already refuted that by showing that homosexuals DO reproduce. Quite frequently, in fact. Oh, and my article was not a rebuttal to your "Point 1" but rather to your later assertion that because they themselves supposedly do not reproduce, they are therefore a threat to the survival of the human species, which obviously they are not.

So far you're losing 2-0. Shall we continue?

Is that good enough a rebuttal for you? If not - explain why.
I just did.

Science is merely the study of knowledge and truth. Identifying and exposing a hypocritical argument is just good logic.
You appear to know nothing about science, let alone knowledge or truth. Your definition of science is also not correct. Furthermore, hypocrisy has nothing to do with logic OR with science, but rather is a matter of philosophy at most.

3-0, now you're losing by an even larger margin.

I have shown the hypocrisy in the counter argument claiming that homosexuals reproduce. By doing so succesfully rebutting that counterpoint.
1. No hypocrisy is involved in homosexual reproduction.

2. Hypocrisy has nothing to do with it anyway.

3.Homosexuals STILL reproduce, whether you like it or not. Remember, one has only to ACCEPT the facts, not like them.

4. Therefore you have not successfully refuted anything.

Wow, 4-0. You're still losing. Shall we go on?

Arguments don't always yield quick results.
This one sure did. We proved you wrong the same day you started. I'm not sure why you're still here, unless you're just a glutton for punishment. Whatsamatta, your friendly local dominatrix out of town, or what? ;)

5-0

I do have faith that as long as we argue sincerely the argument will move forward.
This has nothing to do with faith OR with sincerity. Your premise is simply wrong. I say that most sincerely.

I have no intention of accepting an insincere agreement to disagree.
From all appearances, you have no intention of accepting anything other than for everyone to simply abandon logic and hail you as arbiter of what constitutes language, science, sincerity, faith and truth. However, no one here is capable of doing so with any sincerity whatsoever, let alone with a straight face. So you lose, 6-0. Thank you for playing; now get lost.

There is no trickery here.
Of course not. Trickery requires cunning and intelligence, and you aren't equipped.

Point 1 is clear and easy to understand. I don't see how it can be so confusing.
It isn't confusing; it's just WRONG.

If you agree with it - say so. If you don't - say why.
That already happened, and everyone not only said they don't agree with it, but also explained why. You simply refuse to accept the answers you've been given. That's not our fault.

You are challenged to argue your counterpoint or accept point 1 as the truth.
We already gave you the counterpoint, proved you wrong, and then issued some challenges of our own to you - which you have proven unable to meet. We're currently on Chapter 35, while you're still struggling somewhere in the table of contents. Don't you think it's time you put away the big-girl book that you can't handle and went back to the children's section for some Dick and Jane?

Re: Harper vows free vote on gay marriage

He should make his opinion clear and that is if he would use the notwithstanding clause to ban ssm?

Clarify gay rights policy, Martin tells Harper

A teaser:

Liberal Leader Paul Martin called on Conservative Leader Stephen Harper on Monday to say whether he plans to use the notwithstanding clause to revoke the legislation legalizing gay marriage.

Speaking in Hamilton, Martin said the issue of same-sex marriage was a rights issue as set out by the courts. [/end of teaser]

Yes Stephen please clarify, although I already know your answer.

The argument continues.

Point 1: Homosexuals are genetic dead-enders.

The following common counterpoint theme has emerged.

That homosexuals can reproduce heterosexually when they want to and still call themselves homosexuals.

My rebuttal is that this is pure and simple hypocrisy.

To accept this as the nature of homosexuality is to accept that homosexuals are naturally hypocrites.

Then you would have to admit that hetrosexual couples that don't reproduce are hypocrites as well. They are denying that, the only reason we exist is to breed. I don't believe that for a second.By your logic...if you don't breed your a hypocrite. Therefore the sole purpose in life is procreation. I don't believe that either. So far your batting athousand wrong on both premises.

Re: Harper vows free vote on gay marriage

Quite right, zen. I, for one, often have sex just for the hell of it, rather than for procreation. Presumably that should disbar me from sharing basic human rights. Doesn't seem very fair to me, but if hogwash says so I'll just have to accept it. Or not.

Actually,

If a heterosexual partook in homosexual activities and insisted on being a heterosexual, they would be a hypocrite.

Heterosexuals can also remain true to their proclaimed sexual orientation without reproducing.

Surely you can recognize the difference.

Time for a recap of what we're doing.

This is an argument about homosexuality. When I am successful, it will lead to a conclusion condemning same-sex marriage.

Point 1. Homosexuals are genetic dead-enders.

All I have seen as a counterpoint addressing point 1 (relevantly but disproven) so far is a hollow claim that homosexuals can reproduce and that no hypocrisy is involved.

I have argued including the definitions of reproduction, homosexuality and hypocrisy to clearly show otherwise.

I have the time and intention to sincerely argue point and counterpoint until we reach agreement and can move on to the next point.

Hog, your trolling, cut it out. You have proved nothing, the individuals posting in this thread have exposed you, for the homophobic you are.

I agree that homosexuals are genetic dead-enders when they follow their natural instinctual desires, but what has that got to do with whether they can marry or not?

Hogwild, you really are not following here. You contend that homosexuals who reproduce are hypocrites; you have been shown many, many times why this is utterly incorrect; you just refuse to accept it.

Furthermore, your contention relies on the connection of the act of sexual intercourse with reproduction; by that logic, any heterosexual who uses birth control or masturbates is, likewise, a hypocrite. You are obviously, patently, demonstrably pigheaded and wrong. But you're determined. You just keep flogging that dead horse.

By extension of this logic, you must be the Pope. Enjoy your time in Rome. Can I have your hat when you die? It's kinda cool.
