Independent? HA!

When the price of everything goes up to support Dion's ill-conceived pipe dream - but my Disability pension doesn't go up and I get no tax rebate because I don't make enough to pay taxes, you tell me how a half-wit proposal is going to make things better for ME?

Exactly, and when I have the stupid RBC's collection agency sucking out every penny from my income tax and GST due to their own screwup..... how is this going to make things better for ME? Anything I would get back, get's taken out by a corrupt bank corp. So I sure as hell ain't getting my money back either way.

I figure, personally, after running through a personal carbon tax calculator and then
the Liberal personal tax rebate calculator, That this Green Shift will cost me (by
year four) $700/year assuming that nothing else that I need to consume to
survive increases in price due to this Green Shift plan. I did that math before
SaskEnergy increased the Natural Gas rates by 25% last week which translates to
an extra $34/month on my Equalized payments which translates to an increase in my
heating bill (since last month) of $408/year....without the Green Shift even existing yet.

Between the SaskEnergy increase, and this Green Shift if it ever comes into existence,
I'll be down over $1,100 net annually....which'll really cut into my fund that is to go towards
replacing the rest of the windows in my home with the new style high efficiency windows.
Ironically, this Tax might prevent me from replacing these windows, which would decrease
the amount of Natural Gas I'd need to use to live through the winter, which would in a very
very very very small way reduce the amount of green house gas in the atmosphere.
