Hi Paranoid. :)

The only reason that the NDP are viewed as not having a chance of forming a government is because they are ridiculed by everyone and have been since the beginning of time.

But this is done for a reason. The NDP are to far left.

The establishment only wants 2 choices.

Seriously though, the people want clear choices and strong governments. I'm under the impression Canadians don't want 14 parties in power, bickering and power sharing etc. We want strong governments with clear mandates, and we want them strong enough to pass legislation.

Another thing that always gets my hackles up are those people that keep harping for tax cuts. What the hell is that?

Well some of us are sick and tired of paying 55% or more of our earnings to taxes. We have no choices, and see little reason for getting out of bed anymore to go to work for the government.

Thanks for joining in Paranoid. Talk soon. :)

Woo-hoo...party time. I gotta go get my wife though, So i'll have to stop somplace in the middle.

I wanted to share with you the warm fuzzy feeling I get when you call me JJ. In order to do that I need a pet name for you, and Reverend Dear is it, until you stop calling me JJ.

You could call me "Honey" or "Sweety" if it's easier for you, JJ. "Reverend Dear" is fine too though.

I vote right, if Harper is the leader of the right, then what alternative do I have but to vote for him,

I can send you a list (it isn't very long), but the truth is that you've shown no indication of being involved in politics beyond showing up every four years or so to vote. You can either influence policy to the best of your abilities, or bitch that you never get your way and there's no point in trying. You seem to lack the trying part.

I don't have (nor do I want) two right parties,

I do. I want two, or maybe six, right parties. I'm not just trying to split the vote though. I want the same on the left and the centre and for anybody in between. I want them to have equal time and put out alternative policy and mate with each other very publicly and in the most rude fashion possible. That's calle democracy.

'kay, time to get Mrs. Rev.

It was a known fact that just before the last election, the Conservatives were leading in the polls and then the Liberals started the two-tier health care scare.(What a crock!)

Actually, if you look at the way the media behaved during the campaign, once it looked like the Conservatives were going to form a government based on the polls, the media became a lot more focused on Harper [the likely PM-in-waiting] and that was supplemented by the Liberals two-tier attack...but the X factor was definitely the media.

You said some other stuff I may address later but for now it looks like everyone else did a good job replying to it.

I thought about Honey and Sweety, but knowing your a man of years, I thought Dear was more appropriate. :)

Your right I don't try to influence party policy, I really am under the impression my voice wouldn't make any difference.

Wish her the best from us all.

I will...when I go back to collect her again. Her hands were full of ink and she was looking sad when she she told me she had to work late. Her co-worker looked sad too. So her co-worker's husband and I finished our beer and left. Our wives will call when they need a ride home. Or not. I'll take a beer with me in any event.

Then you belong to the wrong party. I'm not always convinced that my voice makes a difference in policy, but I know damned well they heard me. If your voice isn't making a difference then you need to vocalize elsewhere.

I thought about Honey and Sweety, but knowing your a man of years, I thought Dear was more appropriate.

I did try to stick to terms I'd heard used by the staff in old folks homes. I certainly didn't mean to give the impression I could move around without a walker.

No doubt about that. The media loves a winner. When the Liberals nailed the charm button they put all that away though. It was like watching a forty year old woman picking up an eighteen year old boy...kind of sad but you know he was gonna have fun and you knew exactly who was running the show.

I might not know much but I will tell you this....lean in...

I think the way chretin behaved was disquisting! There is a time and a place to act like a bafoon, and that was not the place. Rex murphy is right, this is no joke, this is serious business and canadians have a right to know what happened to that money. The amount is to huge that it can be ignored. Even if you are liberal you must demand answers. I feel he should have showed more respect and I don't really find the golf ball stuff all that funny.

Oh no, were up the creek without a paddle now, Rex Murphy’s pissed. He's gonna chew us all new A holes, for wasting all that money...

He's just pissed the CBC didn't get it and the CBC could have used it and the CBC is full of Liberals, and if the CBC isn't in the business of selling Canada to Canadians, who is?

They are forked over billions to peddle the same good news year in year out. No one says shit, that’s the scandle.
